Refill Relay ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website at refillrelay.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to your privacy and do not sell your personal data.

Information you give us directly
- Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us via email. We use this only to send you content you asked for and to respond to your messages.
- Messages — if you email us at hello@refillrelay.com, we store your message and email address to respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring URL, browser type, and device type. This is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools (see Analytics section below).
- IP address — logged automatically by our web server for security and performance purposes. We do not use IP addresses to personally identify individual users.

Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect any health information you enter into our symptom checkers or quizzes. These tools run entirely in your browser — no quiz responses are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- We do not collect payment information. All content is free.
- We do not require account creation or registration to access any content.
How we use your information
- To operate the site — serving pages, ensuring security, diagnosing technical problems.
- To send newsletters — if you subscribed, we send new article notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- To respond to your messages — if you contact us, we use your email to reply.
- To understand how the site is used — aggregate analytics help us understand which guides are most useful so we can produce more of what readers need.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or train AI models.

Data retention
- Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe.
- Contact emails are retained for up to 2 years for correspondence records, then deleted.
- Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings (26 months by default).
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

Children's privacy

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information. California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which it is used by emailing hello@refillrelay.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Refill Relay after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
